EPIC DRIVE
My inspiration to start this business comes from my experience fleeing Liberia, a war-torn country in West Africa. My family and I faced homelessness and couldn’t afford clothing — not even for my critically ill brother, who suffered from malnutrition and exposure to harsh weather. Without proper clothing, shelter, or food, he couldn’t fight his illness, and we were unable to stop his shivering. He eventually passed away. Since then, I've dreamed of creating a company that gives back to the most vulnerable communities. As a nurse practitioner in East Oakland, I’ve worked closely with addicts, homeless individuals, and victims of trafficking, regularly donating clothing, shoes and financially. Epic Fits continues this tradition by supporting organizations aiding those in need.
